Saugus Karate/Kung-Fu is proud to introduce to each student the art of Kempo Karate, a combination of karate, kung-fu and jujitsu. Serving the North Shore since 1970 Saugus Karate/Kung-Fu is easily the most accessible, longest established and most experienced school in the area. We offer quality instruction using various techniques to meet every individual’s needs, whether your interest be in traditional Kempo Karate, Cardio Kickboxing, practical self-defense, intensive training and conditioning, fitness and weight loss, or just plain fun.

Saugus Karate/Kung-Fu maintains a staff of highly qualified black belt instructors, under the supervision of chief instructor and owner Master Jason Scaduto. With 30 years of teaching experience, Jason provides an exciting atmosphere for students in every aspect of training that is unsurpassed. All instructors, including Jason, train under master instructors on a continual basis to better their own skill and remain in peak condition at all times.

Our well-equipped training center features mirrored walls, heavy bags, speed bags, stretch machines, free weights and central air conditioning. Saugus Karate/Kung-Fu guarantees a safe and pleasurable learning environment, while our limited enrollment and pay as you go policies assure each student the opportunity to develop to his or her fullest potential without being locked into a contract.

Saugus Karate/Kung-Fu offers programs for the beginning student to the advanced, with separate group classes for children (age 4 ½ - 11), teenagers, (12-16), and adults (17 and up). In addition, private lessons featuring personal, one-on-one instruction can be arranged mornings, afternoons, evenings or weekends at the student’s convenience.

Saugus Karate/Kung-Fu coed group classes feature stretching exercises, aerobic conditioning, strength training and hands-on Kempo Karate instruction. For students who want to work out at their leisure, Saugus Karate/Kung-Fu’s liberal studio hours are:

Monday-Thursday, 11:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday, 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Our family-oriented atmosphere boasts a roster of students that includes husbands and wives, fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, brothers and sisters, servicemen and women, and professionals with careers in virtually every walk of life imaginable.

Children are taught self-control, self-confidence, good sportsmanship, character, responsibility and discipline, and work together with other children who share the same goals and interests. Special events such as children’s self-defense clinics taught by Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers, women’s rape prevention classes, weapons classes, tournaments, and training seminars by the finest martial artists in the world are also part of the Saugus Karate/Kung-Fu  experience.

It’s easier than you think to learn how to protect yourself in an emergency situation if properly shown the secrets of Kempo Karate. You will find that the disciplines of Kempo Karate teach restraint when provoked and defense when attacked. Rarely will you find a true student of Kempo involved in a fight because he or she will be able to walk away from most confrontations without loss of self-respect.

Prospective students are invited to observe and/or participate in a class at no obligation, while parents are encouraged to drop by periodically and monitor their child’s progress. Conveniently located at 304 Central Street in Saugus, MA 01906. Saugus Karate/Kung-Fu is just minutes away from your home or office on the North Shore.
